Article Correction Notice

Article Correction Notice

In scientific publishing, unintentional errors may occur and require formal corrections upon discovery. Authors should promptly inform the Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan (JIKA) editorial team regarding any factual errors identified in their published articles. The journal evaluates each request, and appropriate corrections are issued based on the publication stage and nature of the error.

Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan (JIKA) editors will consider issuing a correction notice if:

  • A small portion of a reliable publication contains misleading data or factual inaccuracies resulting from an honest mistake.

  • The author or contributor list is inaccurate (e.g., an eligible author was omitted, or an individual not meeting authorship criteria was included).

Corrections to peer-reviewed content fall into three primary categories:

  • Publisher Correction (Erratum): Issued to notify readers of a significant production or layout error made by the journal staff that affects the scientific content or context of the article.

  • Author Correction (Corrigendum): Issued to notify readers of a significant error introduced by the authors that impacts the data presentation, factual accuracy, or interpretation of the work.

  • Addendum: An official addition provided by the authors to clarify minor inconsistencies, explain methodology details, or provide critical updates to the original paper.

Changes to Authorship

Authors are advised to finalize authorship details prior to manuscript submission. Any requests for additions, deletions, or rearrangements of author names must be made during the editorial process before acceptance.

All authorship changes require written confirmation and consent from all authors (including those being added or removed), accompanied by a clear justification. Authorship changes requested after acceptance will delay publication. If an authorship modification request is approved after article publication, a formal Correction notice will be published online. Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan (JIKA) reserves the right to request proof of authorship contribution and retains final discretion over all post-acceptance requests.
