JAGRI is committed to ensuring that all community service activities are conducted in accordance with applicable ethical principles and regulations. Authors are responsible for ensuring the dignity, rights, safety, privacy, confidentiality, and welfare of community members and partners involved in the activities.
Ethical approval is not automatically required for all community service activities. However, ethical approval or ethical review is required when the activity involves human participants, health interventions, sensitive personal or health data, vulnerable groups, or other procedures that may pose ethical risks or are subject to institutional or professional requirements.
For activities that do not require formal ethical approval, authors must ensure appropriate participant consent, permission from community partners or institutions when applicable, protection of personal information, and consent for the use of photographs, videos, or other identifiable documentation.
If ethical approval is required, authors must provide the name of the ethics committee or authorized institution, approval number, and approval year in the manuscript.
